Trading Technology Support Engineer

$120,000 - $180,000 Base Salary + Benefits

The Finna Group is partnering with a highly successful hedge fund to hire a Trading Technology Support Engineer for its Miami office.

This is a unique opportunity to join a lean, high-performing team where you'll work directly with portfolio managers, traders, researchers, and operations professionals, helping to ensure critical systems remain reliable throughout the trading day.

This is a front-office role that combines elements of production engineering, infrastructure support, automation, and software development.

You will act as the first point of contact for technical issues impacting trading activity, market data, and operational workflows, while also contributing to long-term improvements across the firm's technology stack.

The position offers broad exposure across cloud infrastructure, trading systems, market data, networking, databases, and software engineering, making it an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys solving real-world problems and wants to work in a high-impact environment.

This is not a traditional corporate IT support position.

• Serve as a primary point of contact for technology issues impacting trading and business operations
• Investigate and resolve production incidents across applications, infrastructure, and data workflows
• Partner closely with traders, researchers, and operations teams to maintain a reliable trading environment
• Develop automation and tooling to improve efficiency and reduce operational risk
• Support cloud-based systems, databases, and internal applications
• Contribute to system monitoring, performance optimisation, and operational improvements
• Assist with deployment processes and technology initiatives across the business
• Maintain clear documentation and help drive continuous improvement across the technology platform

• Experience in a technical support, production engineering, infrastructure, software engineering, or technology operations role
• Strong troubleshooting and analytical problem-solving skills
• Python programming experience
• Working knowledge of SQL and modern cloud environments
• Ability to prioritise effectively in a fast-moving environment
• Strong communication skills and a proactive, ownership-driven mindset

• Exposure to financial markets, trading systems, or data-intensive environments
• Experience supporting production systems or business-critical applications
• Familiarity with Linux, networking concepts, or cloud infrastructure
• Interest in technology-driven investing and quantitative trading
• Experience building automation or operational tooling
