Technical Writer

Technical Writer – Eastern Aero Marine Worldwide (EAM) – Full‑time, on‑site, Miami, FL.

EAM Worldwide is a manufacturer of aviation and marine emergency survival equipment used worldwide.

• Rewrite or update existing technical documents to meet industry and customer standards, emphasizing accuracy, completeness, clarity, succinctness, and flow.
• Develop new technical documents, data sheets, work instructions, forms, and related materials.
• Ensure all documentation complies with industry and customer specifications.

• Minimum 3 years experience as a technical writer in the aviation industry (medical or automotive manufacturing acceptable).
• Proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel;
  Adobe Acrobat, Photoshop, PowerPoint, and Illustrator.
• Experience with PDM tools such as Solid Works Vault.
• Familiarity with documentation revision control methodologies.
• Ability to create, access, edit, and maintain databases of technical information and illustrations used in documentation.
• Excellent writing, vocabulary, and editing skills.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills; able to work independently and as part of a team.
• Detail oriented, inquisitive, and able to meet milestones and delivery schedules.
• Desirable: basic CAD (AutoCAD) or simple photography/videography skills for custom illustrations.
• College degree in an English language discipline or a technical discipline with an emphasis on writing or communications.

• Fluent in English, both written and spoken.
• Spanish speaking is a plus.
• Must demonstrate competence during the interview process.
