Job Description & How to Apply Below
  • Location 1111 Brickell Avenue, 11TH FLOOR, Miami, FL, 33131, United States
  • Employee Type FT Exempt
Description

You manage service providers, consultants and specialist vendors effectively, and communicate clearly with both non-technical colleagues and senior stakeholders. You ask the right questions, challenge constructively and negotiate well, identifying fit-for-purpose solutions that are proportionate to a lean organization. You are technically hands-on. You can lead the design of terminal and corporate network, security and audio-visual solutions, and have the depth to challenge and validate the work of a managed service provider and specialist vendors rather than simply coordinate them.

You take personal, hands-on ownership of cyber security and data protection, understand the regulatory and investor obligations they create across a multi-jurisdiction business, and are comfortable being the accountable point of contact to the company’s private equity owner and joint venture partners for cyber maturity and compliance.

Requirements

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Develop and own the IT strategy and annual IT budget, providing technology recommendations that support the company’s strategy and growth.
  • Lead the design and delivery of IT for new terminal developments and redevelopments, including network, Wi-Fi (corporate and guest), CCTV, access control, structured cabling, ISP coordination and payment systems, working alongside construction teams and local installation vendors across multiple countries.
  • Direct the central managed service provider as the primary support and execution resource while retaining client-side ownership of architecture, security and project acceptance, and coordinate between the MSP, regional installation vendors and joint venture partner IT.
  • Own the quality of IT service across corporate and terminal users, managing support contracts and service levels and acting as the senior escalation point for IT issues.
  • Maintain the company’s cyber security posture to the standard required by its private equity owner, including the governance framework, external maturity assessments, technical controls and user awareness, and report on IT and cyber risk to the board and investors.
  • Own data protection and data residency across the group’s operating entities, including GDPR obligations for the European terminals and review of vendor data processing arrangements.
  • Review vendor and supplier agreements for commercial and technical risk, including service levels, security and breach obligations, liability, data protection and capital versus operating treatment, working with legal and finance.
  • Define and own the company’s core technology platforms and systems of record, ensuring clear ownership, integration and data governance across departments.
  • Develop and maintain IT policies and standards, ensuring a secure and compliant IT environment.
Qualifications and Educational Requirements
  • Minimum of 10 years managing information technology systems, with experience in service management and onboarding service management providers.
  • Proven success in the delivery of complex and high-profile infrastructure projects.
  • Experience of contract management in project delivery.
  • Broad technical knowledge to drive conversations with suppliers and other third parties, including:
Microsoft 365 and Intune device management; cloud-based business applications (e.g. ERP, HR, CLM and finance platforms); local, wide area and wireless data networks; network and perimeter security, including firewalls, switching and wireless (e.g. cloud-managed platforms such as Cisco Meraki); physical security systems, including CCTV and access control; and end-user and mobile device management.
  • Experience delivering IT for capital construction or fit-out projects, coordinating with contractors, developers and local vendors across multiple sites and countries.
  • Working knowledge of data protection and security frameworks relevant to a US and EU business (e.g. GDPR, NIST), and experience operating under private equity or institutional governance and assurance requirements.
  • Experience managing an IT budget, SLAs, KPIs and performance metrics.
  • Degree in a relevant subject.
  • Project management certification (e.g. PMP, APM or PRINCE2).
  • Membership of relevant professional bodies.
