Job Description CVIS Cardiovascular Imaging Systems Consultant
Cardiovascular PACS Admin

This role supports a broad portfolio of cardiovascular imaging platforms, including ISCV (Intelli Space Cardiovascular), XIMS (Xper Information Management System), Change Healthcare CPACS, Merge Hemo (Merative), and GE Muse, along with ancillary systems like Paceart Optima, Butterfly IQ, Bio Tel, Scott Care, Lifenet, Evoke, AVW, Accu Win Pro, and Philips Patient Flow Performance Bridge. These systems are tightly integrated with PACS, Epic Cupid, and various monitoring and reporting tools across the cardiovascular service line.

Key Responsibilities and Contributions:
  • Respond promptly to CVIS-related incidents via phone, text, email, and Service Now (SNOW), ensuring timely communication and resolution.
  • Accurately assess, troubleshoot, and resolve reported issues across CVIS platforms; expand escalation to vendors and internal T & D teams when needed to ensure full resolution.
  • Support and resolve order, results, and transaction-related issues-including stuck or delayed HL7 messages, procedure mismatches, and modality communication errors.
  • Collaborate regularly with clinical engineering, Epic Cupid/Radiant teams, and enterprise IT to maintain system performance and end-user satisfaction.
  • Maintain responsibility for Corporate  workflows (as applicable to CVIS modality integrations) and ensure accurate patient matching across platforms.
  • Lead or support vendor engagements for system patching, upgrades, performance reviews, and recurring technical maintenance.
  • Issue downtime notifications across email and Microsoft Teams channels to keep stakeholders informed and mitigate disruptions.
  • Initiate and support Major Incident Management (MIM) processes as required for critical CVIS-related outages or degradation events.
  • Participate in after-hours patching, change control, and system validation activities as scheduled.
  • Provide rotating after-hours on-call support (typically 5:00 PM 8:30 AM) as part of a shared coverage model.
  • Configure and test Modality Worklist (MWL) and Modality Performed Procedure Step (MPPS) across cardiovascular systems; validate orders and results mapping during go-lives and upgrades.
  • Serve as the primary technical liaison during CVIS implementation efforts and workflow refinement initiatives, ensuring clinical alignment and system stability.
  • Provide tier 2/3 technical support for ISCV, Xper, CPACS, and related systems-working across Windows, Linux, SQL, HL7, and DICOM-based environments.
  • Contribute to documentation in Confluence, track issue resolution in Jira, and maintain project/task visibility across CVIS initiatives.
  • Assist with Epic alignment efforts by supporting transition planning, workflow reviews, and structured knowledge transfer with incoming Epic Cupid teams.
  • Regularly report status, risks, and key updates to the Enterprise Imaging Services leadership team.
