The Royal Caribbean Group’s IT-Private destination Team has an exciting career opportunity for a full-time Manager, IT Product Construction reporting to the Senior Manager, Product Construction
.
The position is onsite and based in Miramar, Florida
.
Designs coordination for IT Construction projects for Royal Caribbean Group’s Destination Products, ensuring they are completed on time, within scope, and within budget.
Responsibilities- The role includes developing and implementing IT strategies and initiatives that align with overall business objectives.
- Support the execution team with project documentation, industry research, reporting/analytics, performance monitoring, project logistics, testing, and general coordination of site capability requirements.
- Work with product teams to ensure they have a clear understanding of product objectives and priorities, and help the IT teams translate product concepts into user stories, epics and other design deliverables for execution.
- Partner with key stakeholders to build and manage scope expectations and champion the guest experience.
- Effectively communicate with partners at various levels across the broader organization through presentations, email, formal/informal meetings.
- Support the intake process of projects through governance, inclusive of IT projects and broader RCG initiatives.
- Manage capability requirements for each site’s business model and integration requirements with product owners.
- Manage design and integration activities between IT and RCG’s internal and external partners.
- Create a collaborative partnership among portfolio stakeholders that enables resource demand planning, budget management, initiative strategic alignment, change management and project pipeline planning decisions.
- Engage and onboard needed resources from other business departments to implement scope.
- Manage project and capability requirements, artifacts, decisions, communications, metrics, and reporting.
- Support Subject Matter Leads, Program and Project Managers and Business/Project Analysts with delivery and reviews to confirm adherence to Delivery Team methodology.
- Support product integration within RCG sites and assets with insight contributions across portfolio activities.
- Work closely with Product teams, Site Architects and Construction partners to develop and document delivery goals and execution strategies related to the project scope.
- 5+ years of professional experience in the amusement park industry.
- Experience with technical, user and business issues in a fast‑paced hospitality organization.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication and project leadership skills, including influencing at an executive level.
- Proven analytical and quantitative skills; ability to use hard data and metrics to back assumptions and develop project business cases.
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology or a related field.
- 3+ years of product management preferred.
- Strategic thinking and ability to drive ideas into action, positive outlook and willingness to take personal initiative.
- Experience with technical, user and business issues in a fast‑paced online organization.
- Experience working with project execution teams creating key requirement documents and project artifacts.
- Outstanding verbal and written communication and project leadership skills.
- Analytical and quantitative skills; ability to use hard data and metrics to back assumptions and develop deliverables.
- Ability to collaborate and achieve results through others, build strong relationships and interact at all levels of the organization.
- Comfortable working with international teams.
- Overall leadership across multiple teams, working collaboratively to deliver with quality on time.
- Knowledge of industry trends and best practices in IT project management.
- Experience executing heavy IT infrastructure projects in a construction environment.
PMP, PRINCE2, or other relevant project management certifications preferred.
