A&M’s Private Equity Performance Improvement Services (PEPI) practice serves upper middle‑market and large‑cap private equity firms and helps improve operating results at their portfolio companies. Clients typically range from $50 million to over $1 billion.

As a Senior Director you will lead complex client engagements that identify, design, and implement creative business and technology solutions for private equity clients and their portfolio companies.

Key responsibilities include:

• Lead pre‑acquisition IT diligence across systems, infrastructure, architecture, development lifecycle, budgeting, and organizational assessment.
• Manage interim IT operations and oversee Day‑1 and 100‑day planning, ensuring performance improvement in ERP, back‑office, supply chain, BI/reporting, and customer/channel management.
• Ensure high‑quality deliverables and maintain strong relationships with teams and stakeholders.
• Co‑coach and develop staff, participate in recruitment and retention activities, and provide leadership support to delivery teams.

• 15+ years of professional consulting or relevant industry experience, with at least five years in systems implementations, merger integration, business transformation, and change management.
• Extensive experience with private‑equity sponsors, portfolio companies, and transaction or merger integration projects.
• Deep functional expertise in one or more of the following areas:
• Private equity advisory
• IT merger integration and carve‑out
• Business/IT transformation program or project management (e.g., ERP)
• Supply‑chain and/or finance/accounting transformation
• IT operations
• Solution architecture
• Enterprise architecture and infrastructure
• IT assessment and strategy development
• IT performance improvement and cost reduction
• Demonstrated track record working with C‑suite executives and private‑equity deal and operating partners.
• Excellent fact‑gathering and analytical skills, including business process mapping and quantitative analysis.
• Experience designing and leading change/communications strategy for internal and external audiences.
• Prior strategy and change‑management experience; advisory background from a top‑tier strategy firm, leading specialist firm, or Big‑4 consultancy.
• Bachelor’s degree required.
• Ability to travel up to 75 % of the time.

• Full‑time and part‑time positions (30+ hours/week) are entitled to healthcare plans, flexible spending and savings accounts, life, AD&D, and disability coverages, as well as a 401(k) retirement plan with discretionary employer matching.
• Paid time off includes vacation, personal days, 72 hours of sick time (prorated for part‑time), ten federal holidays, one floating holiday, and parental leave.
• Salary range: $175,000 – $250,000 annually plus discretionary bonus program based on individual and firm performance.
