IT Systems Engineer

Requirements

• We require a bachelors degree in a related field, or equivalent experience gained through work history, training, military service, or education.
• We require 3+ years of experience in information technology, technical application development, or a similar discipline.
• We prefer 3+ years of experience supporting IT systems or applications in a customer-facing capacity.
• We prefer 3+ years of experience producing technical documentation for both technical and non-technical audiences.
• We value strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• We look for clear communication skills and the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical colleagues.
• We need someone who can work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
• We expect adaptability, a willingness to learn new technologies, and a detail-oriented approach that produces accurate, high-quality work.
• We require a broad understanding of the technology project lifecycle and a basic grasp of the financial services environment.
• We seek familiarity with development tools, programming languages, methodologies, and the ability to program in the required language.
• We value technical writing and documentation experience.
• We would consider Microsoft Office experience a plus.
• We require legal authorization to work in the United States on a full-time basis without employer sponsorship.

Responsibilities:

• We administer and support core infrastructure services, including Active Directory, GPOs, DNS/DHCP, PKI, and MFA.
• We manage virtualization and end-user computing platforms such as VMware, Citrix VDI, and RDS, and we support on-premises Exchange.
• We maintain Windows Server environments, SAN storage, and file services to preserve performance and availability.
• We oversee backup and disaster recovery solutions, including testing and failover preparedness.
• We monitor systems and carry out patching across servers and endpoints.
• We maintain technology lifecycle compliance, asset records in the CMDB, and alignment with enterprise standards.
• We support security and risk activities such as audits, RCSA, and infrastructure hardening.
• We administer development and test environments and assist with deployment and validation work.
• We lead and support infrastructure modernization, platform migrations, and decommissioning initiatives.
• We continuously improve disaster recovery, resilience, and security across our infrastructure estate.
• We perform other related duties as assigned by our supervisors.
