our client is currently seeking a qualified junior network engineer to join their team onsite in miami, fl and provide support.

duties and responsibilities
  • install office networks consisting of cisco routers / switches such as the cisco catalyst c3650 / c3850 / c3560 / c9300 switch families
  • responsible for troubleshooting and fixing network problems including physical wiring (copper / fiber) or hardware configuration problems
  • rack and stack cisco switches in standalone or stack configurations
  • upgrade cisco ios over the network via tftp / ftp or locally via the console port
  • effective in using cisco ios to manage and configure basic switch and router configurations including configuring interfaces with ip addresses, configuring hostnames and passwords, viewing current configurations for troubleshooting, setting up telnet and ssh, configuring vlans, and upgrading ios
  • run cisco prime reports and gather due diligence data for site changes
  • maintain visio network site drawings
  • update project schedule in jira and excel
  • enter change tickets in servicenow
wage range

the rate for this position is between $22.94 - $30.59 per hour, unless local minimum wage is higher. Factors which may affect starting pay within this range may include geography/market, skills, education, experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
