The Herbert Wertheim College of Medicine is currently seeking a Data Analyst IV to join our team of professionals.
Duties include:- Provides support to the quantitative and qualitative data analysis of learner data to support excellence in education.
- Makes recommendations regarding design and data collection methodology for clinical assessments and simulation/performance-based assessments in collaboration with key leaders for the Herbert Wertheim College of Medicine (HWCOM).
- Responsible for data organization, maintenance of assessment database, statistical analysis, general interpretation and reporting of results to appropriate stakeholders.
- Collects and analyzes data to support course revisions and curriculum planning.
- Develops data collection and analysis methodology, including defining in detailed data requirements, data sources, and proper data collections procedures for statistical analysis.
- Develops and implements data collection quality assurance procedures to ensure validity and reliability of results.
- Collects data using appropriate methods (e.g.: checklists, global rating scales, surveys, forms, questionnaires, etc).
- Generates reports, charts, tables, and presentations as appropriate for the reporting of data and outcomes to individuals, offices, and committees.
- Builds structures as needed to capture data for longitudinal reporting.
- Serves as a resource for faculty conducting medical education research regarding data issues such as appropriate collection and entry methods as well as data quality.
- Collaborates with HWCOM IT to identify requirements and parameters for data delivery and specifications.
- Serves as a key member of the Assessment Committee and the Program Evaluation Committee. Responsible for quality control of data compilation and analysis, results interpretation, visualization and reporting for the Assessment committee, a sub-committee of the Curriculum Committee that reviews all assessments for quality, effectiveness and consistency throughout period one, two, and three.
- Leads the planning, development, and implementation of a data warehouse (in collaboration with the HWCOM IT department, Office of Medical Education, and the Office of Students Affairs) that will house student performance data as well as data across the Office of Academic Affairs and Office of Student Affairs that is integral to program evaluation and strategic planning, in order to improve tracking of performance metrics and ensure we are meeting outcomes.

Bachelor’s degree in an appropriate area of specialization and six (6) years of appropriate experience or a Master’s degree in an appropriate area of specialization and four (4) years of appropriate experience.
Desired QualificationsBachelors and/or Master’s degree in Education, Educational Psychology, Quantitative Psychology preferred.
