Position Summary

A technical expert, who is a self-starter with an innate aptitude for technology. Duties & Responsibilities
  • Hands on knowledge of configuring Blackberry, iPhone, iPad, Android, and Windows mobile smart phones and devices is required
  • Provides support for the mobile devices and related Air Watch Mobile Device Management (MDM) infrastructure
  • Secures, monitors, manages and supports mobile devices deployed across mobile operators, service providers and the enterprise
  • Responsibilities will include but not limited to firmware updates over the air, Diagnostics, Remote Configuration and Provisioning, Security, Backup/Restore, Network Usage and Support, Mobile asset tracking and management, Device Policy Management, Remote Lock and Wipe and Device Provisioning Documents procedures and standards
  • Develops and implements access, monitoring, control and documentation
  • Resets, installs and configures applications and related credentials on mobile devices
  • Responsible for troubleshooting and diagnostics of mobile devices
  • Participates in preparing and testing the disaster recovery plan
  • Provides 24x7 response and assistance for all urgent and related responsibilities
  • Provides subject matter expertise support to Help Desk and end users
  • Responsible for troubleshooting and diagnostics of mobile devices
  • Supports team administrators and engineers and act as resource to other team members
  • Participates in the On-Call rotation process
  • Performs other duties as assigned/required
Skills & Competencies
  • Achieve optimum performance and availability standards in accordance with service level agreements by assessing, implementing and managing appropriate mobile technical solutions
  • Applicant should possess good customer service skills dealing with external, inter-organizational and vendor contacts
  • Must be available for after hours and On-Call support as required
  • Must be able and willing to work flexible shifts as required and communicate by phone and in person with customers and appropriate organizations
  • Successful candidate should demonstrate strong written/verbal communications, problem solving, organizational and interpersonal skills including willingness and ability to document and share information with team members
  • A background in OS level scripting (VBScript, Shell Scripts) and exposure to automation of operational functions
  • Familiarity with inter-networking concepts such as TCP/IP, DNS, LDAP, firewalls, Local and Wide Area Networks
  • Occasional travel required
Qualifications & Prior Experience
  • Experience with Mobile Device Management (MDM) software required, preferably Air Watch EMM
  • Demonstrated knowledge of iOS, Blackberry, Android and Windows mobile devices and Operating systems
  • Knowledge of mobile security technologies preferred
  • Knowledge of windows servers preferred
  • Able to take highly technical discussions to the appropriate level to foster proper understanding to drive decisions and forward progress
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Analytical ability to solve complex problems
  • Can understand both business process as well as underlying systems
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
  • 2 years managing mobile devices
