Position: IT Business Analyst – RPA / UiPath

Work Schedule: Full-time, onsite; new hires should expect five days per week in the office during onboarding

Salary: $85,000–$100,000 annually

Position Overview:

Our client a Fortune 200 company, is seeking a technically capable Business Analyst with meaningful UiPath and robotic process automation experience. This person will own the business-analysis side of automation projects from discovery through production rollout. The role requires someone who can understand a process at a detailed level, identify how it should be improved before it is automated, translate business needs into clear requirements and process maps, and work closely with developers through testing, deployment, and production support.

This is not primarily an RPA Developer position. However, the successful candidate must understand UiPath well enough to communicate credibly with developers, evaluate workflows, identify failure points, support testing, and help the team establish stronger UiPath and Git Hub documentation standards.

Key Responsibilities RPA Migration and Process Ownership
  • Support the migration of existing automations into UiPath.
  • Analyze current-state workflows, business rules, dependencies, exceptions, data inputs, and expected outputs.
  • Determine whether an existing process should be redesigned or simplified before it is rebuilt in UiPath.
  • Own multiple automation initiatives through discovery, requirements, development coordination, testing, rollout, and post-production support.
  • Validate that migrated automations perform accurately and consistently without introducing new operational errors.
  • Help prioritize urgent automation needs as business demands and production issues change.
Requirements and Process Documentation
  • Lead discovery sessions with process owners, operational teams, regional leaders, and technical stakeholders.
  • Translate loosely defined business problems into specific, feasible requirements for developers.
  • Produce business requirements, functional specifications, process design documents, user stories, acceptance criteria, use cases, and test scenarios.
  • Create detailed current-state and future-state process maps using Visio, Miro, or comparable tools.
  • Document decision points, exception paths, system interactions, manual steps, and operational dependencies.
  • Develop clear UiPath and Git Hub procedures, standards, and how-to documentation that can be followed by both business analysts and developers.
  • Maintain accurate documentation as workflows change during development and after deployment.
Testing, Troubleshooting, and Production Support
  • Develop test cases and expected results for functional testing, integration testing, regression testing, and UAT.
  • Coordinate testing across appropriate development, test, and production environments.
  • Investigate failed transactions, missing outputs, incorrect data, system exceptions, and other automation defects.
  • Perform root-cause analysis and translate findings into actionable requirements or defect tickets.
  • Work with internal and third-party developers to resolve defects and confirm that fixes address the underlying business issue.
  • Support production rollout, monitor initial performance, and help stabilize newly deployed automations.
  • Ensure that error handling, exception reporting, auditability, and operational handoffs are clearly defined.
Stakeholder and Technical Collaboration
  • Act as the bridge between business stakeholders, RPA developers, application-development teams, vendors, and QA resources.
  • Communicate technical constraints and risks in language business users can understand.
  • Challenge assumptions when recreating an inefficient process would limit the value of automation.
  • Participate in daily RPA stand-ups and other project-planning or status meetings.
  • Manage competing priorities in a fast-moving environment where critical issues may take precedence over planned work.
  • Support solutions that may begin as pilots and later expand across multiple states or nationwide operations.
Continuous Improvement and Innovation
  • Identify new opportunities for process automation, system integration, and workflow improvement.
  • Evaluate processes based on feasibility, business impact, error…
