The Royal Caribbean Group’s Safety, Security & Environment Team has an exciting career opportunity for a full time Analyst, Maritime Compliance reporting to the Senior Manager, SQM & Auditing Program.

This position is onsite and based in Miami, Florida.

Position Summary

This position provides administrative, analytical, and operational support to the Maritime Safety & Compliance department under the direct supervision of the Sr. Manager, SQM and Audit Program. The role administers and supports the organization’s Safety Management System, including the related support inbox and ticket process, and delivers training on Safety Management System tools to users across shipboard and shoreside operations. The Analyst coordinates the implementation of regulatory, ship-specific, brand-specific, and fleetwide directives within management systems in close collaboration with content owners and operational stakeholders.

The role also consults with internal clients to gather, analyze, validate, and report data; identify trends and improvement opportunities; and recommend practical courses of action that strengthen safety, compliance, and continuous improvement.

Qualifications And Education
  • Process and maintain crew cabin requests for internal and external auditors.
  • Analyze and upload external audit findings from recognized organizations into the Safety Management System, ensuring appropriate assignment, follow-up, implementation, and closure tracking.
  • Monitor data quality and workflow effectiveness within the Safety Management System, identify improvement opportunities, and coordinate corrective actions with stakeholders.
  • Fulfill legal and business requests for archived SQM records accurately and within required time frames.
  • Maintain Management Systems, Maritime Safety Homeport, and SharePoint sites in accordance with current requirements and approved content updates.
  • Manage the Safety Management System support inbox and provide administrative support, including credential setup, access and permission administration, issue triage, and troubleshooting for shipboard and shoreside users.
  • Monitor and trend Safety Management System incidents, faults, and support tickets; identify recurring issues, recommend solutions, and serve as a primary business point of contact for system enhancements.
  • Coordinate and lead user acceptance testing for Safety Management System enhancements and other maritime safety applications, including test planning, documentation of results, defect follow-up, and stakeholder sign-off support.
  • Serve as a business subject matter expert in meetings with IT and vendors related to the maintenance and improvement of maritime safety systems; track issues and actions through resolution.
  • Assess training needs, develop or maintain user guidance, and deliver ongoing Safety Management System training and support to shipboard and shoreside stakeholders.
  • Generate operational statistics, dashboards, and reports to identify trends, measure engagement and service performance, and support data-driven departmental decisions.
  • Source, validate, and document system data used in strategic dashboards and departmental initiatives, applying appropriate quality controls and consistent definitions.
  • Prepare meeting minutes, decisions, and action logs for departmental and stakeholder meetings, and follow up on assigned actions.
