Role Overview
The End-User Device Deployment Technician is responsible for the provisioning, configuration, deployment, and lifecycle management of end-user computing devices across the organization. This role ensures a superior end-user experience by delivering timely, accurate, and high-quality technology solutions aligned with enterprise standards. This position involves installing, configuring, and maintaining computing infrastructure and operating systems in support of business processes.
Key Responsibilities
- Image, configure, and deploy laptops, workstations, iPads, monitors, and peripherals in accordance with organizational standards.
- Track and maintain accurate asset records within the CMDB, including device assignments, transfers, and decommissions.
- Provide hands-on technical assistance during device deployments, hardware refreshes, and new hire onboarding.
- Perform pre- and post-deployment validation to confirm devices meet functional and compliance requirements.
- Maintain an organized inventory of devices and accessories, coordinating with procurement and logistics as needed.
- Create and maintain accurate deployment records, procedures, and knowledge base articles.
- Identify opportunities to streamline deployment processes and improve end-user satisfaction.
- Maintain, manage, inventory, and provision end-user devices and Starlink equipment during storm restoration efforts.
Required Qualifications
Education:
High school diploma or equivalent.
Experience:
1–3 years of experience in end-user computing, desktop support, or IT field services.
Technical
Skills:
Familiarity with Windows OS, macOS, and iOS device management. Experience with MDM/UEM platforms (e.g., Intune, JAMF, or equivalent). A strong understanding of hardware components and peripheral connectivity is required.
Preferred Qualifications
- Associate's degree in IT or a related field.
- Experience with Service Now or equivalent CMDB/ticketing platforms.
- Familiarity with UPS Enterprise Shipping/Tracking and Management.
- Knowledge of enterprise imaging and deployment tools.
- Experience with Active Directory.
