BASIC PURPOSE

Norwegian Cruise Line Holdings is seeking a detail-oriented and strategic Project Manager to support technology delivery initiatives within our Global Technology shipbuilding and dry-dock delivery team. This role will serve as a critical liaison between Global Technology, shipbuilding teams, drydock teams and project managers, ensuring that technology solutions align with business goals and operational requirements. This role requires a highly experienced project management professional who can independently manage ambiguity, establish structure, drive accountability, and coordinate diverse business, technical, operational vendor, and executive stakeholders.

The ideal candidate is a proactive and results-oriented leader who anticipates risks, identifies gaps before they become critical issues, and maintains a strong focus on execution. The Project Manager is expected to operate with limited supervision, effectively navigate competing priorities, and provide clear visibility into project status, risks, dependencies, and decisions required. Success in this role requires strong leadership, disciplined project management practices, exceptional stakeholder management, and the ability to translate strategic objectives into clear, executable plans.

POSITION

RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Lead technology projects supporting cruise ship newbuilds, revitalizations, and drydock programs from planning through implementation, testing, commissioning, and operational handover.
  • Develop and manage integrated project plans covering scope, schedule, milestones, dependencies, resources, risks, and budget.
  • Coordinate cross-functional teams across IT, ship operations, shipyard, construction, engineering, procurement, vendors, and technology partners.
  • Ensure technology requirements are aligned with ship design, construction schedules, infrastructure readiness, and operational objectives.
  • Manage critical dependencies related to cabling, power, HVAC, rack readiness, network infrastructure, equipment delivery, installation access, and construction completion.
  • Drive installation, integration, testing, commissioning, and acceptance of shipboard technology systems.
  • Lead execution readiness, tabletop reviews, cutover planning, and go-live activities for time-sensitive shipyard and drydock periods.
  • Proactively identify risks, schedule conflicts, technical gaps, and readiness issues, and drive mitigation and recovery plans.
  • Manage vendors and contractors to ensure delivery, installation, testing, and documentation commitments are achieved.
  • Provide clear executive-level reporting on project progress, milestones, risks, dependencies, decisions required, and overall project health.
  • Facilitate timely decision-making and escalation when issues threaten critical path activities or vessel delivery schedules.
  • Manage project changes and assess impacts to scope, cost, schedule, technical design, and operational readiness.
  • Ensure appropriate testing, documentation, training, support models, and handover to shipboard and shoreside operational teams.
  • Maintain strong project governance, accountability, action tracking, and stakeholder alignment throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Capture lessons learned and continuously improve technology delivery standards for future newbuild and drydock programs.
KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE EDUCATION
  • Bachelor’s degree in either Business Administration, Marketing, Engineering, Architecture, Management Information Systems or related field of study or any equivalent combination of experience and skills.
EXPERIENCE
  • 5+ years of project management experience, preferably within cruise, maritime, shipbuilding, or related technology environments.
  • Experience leading technology projects for newbuilds, drydocks, revitalizations, or major vessel upgrades.
  • Strong understanding of shipyard execution, construction sequencing, commissioning, critical milestones, and constrained implementation windows.
  • Experience coordinating technology deployments across infrastructure, networks, communications, security, guest-facing, and operational systems.
  • Proven ability to manage dependencies across IT, engineering, construction, procurement, vendors, and…
