Data Analyst
A Fortune 500 client is seeking a Data Analyst to support their Technical Services and Operations organizations by providing visibility into operational workloads, customer demand, project commitments, resource capacity, and service delivery performance. This individual will partner closely with IT leadership, divisional CIOs, and operational teams to collect, analyze, and present data that supports prioritization, capacity planning, governance, and decision-making. The ideal candidate is highly analytical, comfortable working with large datasets, and capable of translating operational metrics into meaningful business insights and executive-level presentations.
The analyst will help establish operational controls, identify trends and risks, improve resource allocation, and provide leadership with data-driven recommendations that support organizational growth and customer commitments. This role is fully remote, however candidates must be available to work EST time zone.
Day-to-Day Responsibilities
- Analyze team capacity, workload, utilization, and demand across projects, incidents, operational support, and emergency requests
- Develop and maintain reports, dashboards, scorecards, and KPIs that provide visibility into operational performance and resource allocation
- Evaluate available capacity versus assigned work and identify staffing gaps, delivery risks, and workload constraints
- Track cross-functional dependencies, handoffs, and turnaround times across technology teams including Security and shared services groups
- Generate recurring operational reports and provide analysis to leadership on workload trends, backlog, utilization, and delivery performance
- Validate source data, identify data quality issues, and document assumptions impacting analysis
- Support operational and project meetings by capturing risks, dependencies, action items, and resource impacts
- Partner with IT leaders, technical teams, and business stakeholders to gather reporting requirements and improve operational visibility
- Maintain documentation for data sources, reporting methodologies, metric definitions, and dashboard logic
- Provide insights and recommendations that support capacity planning, prioritization, workforce planning, and operational decision-making
