Endpoint Services Technician
The University of Miami Health System, "UHealth", Information Technology Department has an exciting opportunity for a full-time Endpoint Services Technician to work in Miami. The Endpoint Services Technician provides technical user advice and support to academic and administrative staff for problems and questions related to network communications. The incumbent also monitors systems and advises senior staff of network application status.
Responsibilities include:
- Acting as first point of contact in the problem determination process, for endpoint solutions and network issues.
- Providing quality customer service to all clients in a timely and professional manner.
- Organizing and prioritizing support requests.
- Monitoring, administering, tracking, and verifying completion of help desk tickets.
- Assisting staff with the installation, configuration, and ongoing usability of endpoint devices, peripheral equipment, and software.
- Preparing, installing, testing, and certifying any endpoint configuration, including any software drivers.
- Conducting basic troubleshooting for endpoint devices.
- Performing regular maintenance and updates on endpoint devices.
- Loading and configuring software on endpoint devices.
- Verifying software is functional and escalating issues.
- Decommissioning any existing hardware that has been replaced.
- Completing, updating, and closing Service Center tickets.
- Adhering to University and unit-level policies and procedures and safeguarding University assets.
Minimum qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum 1 year of relevant experience
- Skill in completing assignments accurately and with attention to detail.
- Ability to analyze, organize and prioritize work under pressure while meeting deadlines.
- Ability to process and handle confidential information with discretion.
- Ability to work evenings, nights, and weekends as necessary.
- Commitment to the University's core values.
- Ability to work independently and/or in a collaborative environment.
- Proficiency in computer software (i.e. Microsoft Office).
