The University of Miami Health System ("UHealth") IT Department has an exciting opportunity for a full-time Sr. Executive & VIP Endpoint Support Specialist to join our team in a full-time, onsite capacity at the Medical Campus in Miami, Florida.

The Sr. Executive & VIP Endpoint Support Specialist provides highly specialized, confidential, and mission-critical technology support to senior University leadership and other designated VIPs, including the President, Provost, Senior Vice Presidents, and their respective offices. This role delivers white-glove, relationship-based endpoint, mobile, and audiovisual support for executive computing environments where downtime, security incidents, or service disruptions carry significant institutional, reputational, and operational risk.

Operating with a high degree of autonomy, this role serves as the primary escalation point for complex, high impact issues and plays a critical role in ensuring executive technology readiness across environments. In addition to advanced technical execution, the position proactively identifies risks, drives resolution of high visibility incidents, and leads cross-functional coordination across IT and business stakeholders.

  • Maintains deep understanding of executive technology preferences, workflows, and environments while proactively identifying risks, gaps, and opportunities to enhance executive productivity and continuity.
  • Supports and oversees executive offices, residences, and approved off-site locations, including advanced planning and coordination for complex travel-related technology needs.
  • Owns and drives resolution of the most complex, high-impact technology incidents affecting executive leadership, Board-level activities, and high-visibility institutional events.
  • Leads and oversees cross-functional escalations with infrastructure, security, applications, vendors, and leadership teams, ensuring timely resolution and accountability across all stakeholders.
  • Troubleshoots, resolves, and advises on advanced hardware and software issues across Windows, macOS, and mobile platforms, influencing long-term solutions and supportability.
  • Designs, implements, and optimizes executive endpoint environments, ensuring reliability, security, scalability, and alignment with enterprise standards and evolving executive needs.
  • Delivers high-priority on-site and remote technical support with extended availability, including after-hours coverage and critical event support with minimal tolerance for failure.
  • Designs, implements, and governs executive audiovisual and conference room environments, including complex hybrid meeting and presentation technologies.
  • Provides real-time, "stay-with" support for Board-level meetings, executive sessions, and high-visibility events where service disruption is not acceptable.
  • Safeguards, assesses, and mitigates risks within highly confidential executive environments, ensuring adherence to institutional security standards while balancing usability and risk exposure.
  • Partners and influences Information Security and enterprise stakeholders to proactively manage executive level security risks, incidents, and evolving threat landscapes.
  • Evaluates, selects, and oversees vendors and external partners supporting non-standard technologies, ensuring service quality, accountability, and alignment with executive expectations.
  • Communicates, documents, and advises by translating complex technical issues into executive-ready insights and serving as a trusted advisor to senior leadership on technology strategy, risk management, and executive support models. Adheres to University and unit-level policies and safeguards University assets.
