Overview
Freeman Mathis and Gary, LLP is a rapidly growing, national specialty litigation firm seeking an experienced paralegal to join our Miami, FL office. This is a 100% in-office position and remote work is not available. We value teamwork, strong communication, problem-solving, ownership of responsibilities, and excellent organization in a fast-paced environment.

Miami, 9130 Dadeland Blvd, Suite 2000, Miami, FL 33156, USA.
- Assist attorneys with the preparation of civil cases throughout discovery and prepare for, attend, and assist at trial.
- Discovery and records management, including preparation of subpoenas and tracking responses.
- Summarize medical and employment records, create medical chronologies, summarize discovery responses, and prepare meet-and-confer correspondence.
- Review, manage, summarize, and synthesize records and data in various types of cases, with emphasis on tort cases, including medical records and deposition transcripts.
- Motion writing experience, including oppositions to motions such as discovery motions and motions to continue trial.
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel; able to learn other programs including document and case management systems.
- Organize and prioritize numerous tasks, meet deadlines under time constraints with minimal supervision, and maintain exceptional attention to detail.
- Maintain accurate and promptly recorded billable time.
- 3+ years paralegal experience in a law firm.
- Civil litigation experience required.
- Familiarity with web-based legal research services.
- Experience working with paperless files; iManage experience is a plus.
- Must successfully pass a background and drug screen.
- Bachelor’s degree and paralegal certificate from ABA-approved program required.
