About the Company - Boyd Richards Parker & Colonnelli, P.L. (“BRPC”) is searching for talented, team-oriented lateral associate attorneys who are committed to strengthening a growing practice group. BRPC has accomplished what has been difficult if not impossible for many:
Increasing business in the first-party property division while nearly halving the file count per attorney and growing our case load as a firm. Those hired will also have an opportunity to gain exposure in general liability and third-party practice, as well as gain exposure to other areas of law, but the primary focus will be First Party.

Associates will gain invaluable experience and exposure that other, larger firms, would not consider giving you for 5 years. We work hard and the results speak for themselves. Come be a part of this growing team and expand your depth and breadth of exposure in a variety of areas as you make a substantial impact in the First Party arena and to a growing firm of 70 plus attorneys.

All applications are handled with absolute discretion. MUST HAVE A JD. AND BE CURRENTLY LICENSED TO PRACTICE IN FL (admitted to FL Bar)

Responsibilities -

  • Assisting in the management of cases from inception.
  • Attending hearings, depositions, mediations, and trials
  • Assisting in the preparation of pleadings, discovery/discovery responses, motions, and other litigation documents
  • Preparing timely reports to insurance carriers and clients regarding case status and ongoing activities
  • Ability to prioritize workload based on deadlines
  • Communicating effectively with attorneys and paralegal

Required Skills -

  • Excellent communication (verbal and written) skills
  • Ability to interact with attorneys, paralegals, court personnel, opposing counsel, clients, and office staff in a professional manner
  • Ability to delegate and prioritize as necessary
  • Must be detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
  • Knowledge of Pro Law and Net Docs is a plus

Pay range and compensation package - BRPC compensates near the top of the pay scale in Florida for its practice areas. As a result, the firm is searching for the top echelon of job candidates. If you have a JD and have a minimum of 2 years experience in First Party Property, and want to be a part of a fast growing, tight knit team that helps and celebrates each other, apply.

In return you will be well compensated (based on experience), you will learn the ins and outs of first-party property as well as other areas of law, and you will have a clear understanding of what is expected of you, including reasonable case loads.

Prior first party property experience will be given additional consideration and additional documentation outlining your specific experience will be appreciated prior to an interview with your application.
