Clyde & Co’s Miami office is seeking a highly skilled Appellate Attorney to join its Trial and Defense team. This role is ideal for an attorney with substantial appellate experience who excels at complex legal analysis, brief writing, and advancing sophisticated appellate strategy within a leading global law firm.

• Handle appeals in state and federal courts, including drafting appellate briefs, motions, and petitions.
• Draft and argue significant pretrial motions and the trial court level
• Conduct in-depth legal research and develop persuasive litigation strategies.
• Present oral arguments before trial and appellate courts.
• Work closely with trial attorneys to identify and preserve appellate issues throughout all stages of litigation.
• Analyze trial records, evaluate potential appellate issues, and provide recommendations to clients and trial teams.
• Communicate effectively with clients, claims professionals, and internal teams.

• J.D. from an accredited law school and active membership in the Florida Bar.
• 10+ years of appellate litigation experience
  , preferably in insurance defense, general liability, or related areas.
• Exceptional legal research and writing skills, with a record of successful appellate briefing.
• Strong analytical abilities and attention to detail.
• Experience presenting oral arguments is preferred.
• Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively within the broader litigation team.
