Our client, a recognized law firm with offices in the United States and abroad, has an exciting employment opportunity available, offering the chance to work within an innovative and collaborative professional environment. They are seeking a Real Estate Paralegal to join their Real Estate Department.
3>Salary / Hourly Rate
Between $38/hr - $41/hr
Position OverviewThe Real Estate Paralegal will work closely with attorneys in the Real Estate Department, providing support throughout all stages of real estate transactions, from initial preparation to post‑closing follow‑up. This role requires a high level of professionalism, exceptional attention to detail, and the ability to efficiently manage multiple tasks. In addition to transaction support, the Real Estate Paralegal will assist with administrative responsibilities and contribute to special projects within the department.
Responsibilities- Support the preparation, management, and organization of documents for real estate transactions, including escrow instructions, title and survey reviews, entity formations, UCC searches, local transfer requirements, and due diligence materials.
- Develop and implement procedures for handling complex transactions; coordinate and oversee closings, manage closing room activities, track workflow, and ensure proper execution and organization of pre‑ and post‑closing documents.
- Draft closing documents such as agreements and third‑party consents, and prepare supporting schedules, exhibits, and related materials.
- Assist with post‑closing activities, including distribution of closing binders, mailings, and transfer agreements.
- Oversee preparation and filing of documents, including amendments and closing materials, and assist in drafting opinions for partner review and approval.
- Maintain accurate and timely time‑keeping and related administrative records.
- Professional communication skills and the ability to interact effectively with personnel at all levels, including management and support staff.
- Proactive self‑starter with the ability to understand details within a broader organizational context.
- Strong attention to detail, reliability, and aptitude for quickly learning new technology.
- Excellent client service skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously in an organized manner with minimal supervision.
- Flexibility and adaptability to respond positively to shifting priorities and demands.
- Willingness and ability to work overtime as needed.
- Ability to perform under pressure and meet strict deadlines.
- A bachelor's degree from an accredited institution is preferred.
- Completion of a paralegal certificate from an ABA‑approved program is preferred.
