(Job Summary)
Turnberry is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Litigation Intern to support our in-house legal team. This is a hands-on opportunity for a law student to gain meaningful exposure to a wide range of legal matters, including litigation, landlord/tenant disputes, business immigration, corporate governance, employment law, insurance matters, and general risk management. The ideal candidate is a proactive team player with strong legal research, writing, and organizational skills who is eager to learn and contribute in a fast-paced environment.
What You Do:
(Duties/Responsibilities)
- Conduct legal research and draft memoranda on matters related to litigation, employment law, landlord/tenant issues, business immigration, corporate transactions, and insurance coverage questions.
- Assist in preparing legal documents, pleadings, discovery responses, correspondence, and internal reports.
- Support ongoing litigation, including document review, discovery coordination, and case file management.
- Assist with contract review and management, including NDAs, vendor agreements, retail leases, and internal Company policies.
- Monitor regulatory, statutory, and legal developments relevant to Company operations.
- Help prepare materials for internal investigations or employment-related matters.
- Support attorney workflow by organizing case files, maintaining tracking systems, and ensuring deadlines are met.
- Attend mediations, depositions, and other court related events as well as internal organizational meetings with supervising Attorney.
- Maintain strict confidentiality and adhere to all legal and ethical standards.
What You Bring to the Table:
(Requirements)
- Currently enrolled in an accredited law school (1L, 2L, or 3L).
- Strong academic record with an interest in litigation, corporate law, landlord/tenant matters, and labor & employment law.
- Excellent legal research and writing skills.
- Highly organized with exceptional attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, with a professional and collaborative approach.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team in a dynamic environment.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office and legal research platforms (e.g., Westlaw, Lexis Nexis).
- Reliable transportation and ability to commute to the Corporate Office.
- Demonstrates dependability when following instructions, responding to management direction, and completing tasks in a timely manner or notifying appropriate person with an alternate plan.
