A sophisticated boutique law firm in Miami is seeking an experienced Litigation Paralegal to join its growing team. This is an excellent opportunity for a sharp, detail-oriented paralegal who enjoys substantive litigation work and wants to work closely with accomplished attorneys in a collaborative, high-quality environment.

The firm takes a craftsman-like approach to the practice of law and places a premium on intellectual curiosity, precision, sound judgment, and attention to detail. This is not a high-volume litigation environment. The ideal candidate takes ownership of their work, thinks critically, and understands that the details matter.

Responsibilities
  • Support attorneys throughout all phases of litigation, from initial case development through discovery, mediation, trial preparation, and resolution.
  • Draft and prepare pleadings, motions, notices, subpoenas, discovery requests and responses, correspondence, and other litigation documents.
  • Assist with document production, discovery management, and organization of case materials.
  • Maintain and organize case files, exhibits, evidence, deposition materials, and other litigation records.
  • Coordinate depositions, hearings, mediations, meetings, and other case-related activities.
  • Monitor court deadlines, litigation calendars, and filing requirements.
  • Prepare materials and exhibits for depositions, hearings, mediations, and trials.
  • Conduct factual research and assist attorneys with case development and investigation.
  • Communicate professionally with clients, opposing counsel, courts, experts, vendors, and other parties.
  • Review documents and case materials carefully for accuracy, completeness, and consistency.
  • Proactively identify outstanding items, upcoming deadlines, and issues requiring attorney attention.
  • Provide substantive support to attorneys while taking ownership of assigned matters and projects.
Qualifications
  • Prior experience as a litigation paralegal
, preferably within a law firm environment.
  • Strong understanding of the litigation process and court procedures.
  • Excellent drafting, proofreading, organizational, and document-management skills.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and ability to produce consistently accurate work.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple matters and competing deadlines without sacrificing quality.
  • Sound judgment and the ability to think critically rather than simply follow a checklist.
  • Professional, dependable, and comfortable working closely with attorneys in a boutique environment.
  • Strong technology skills and familiarity with electronic filing and litigation-document systems.
  • Florida litigation experience is strongly preferred.
The Ideal Candidate

The strongest candidate will be someone who views paralegal work as a profession and a craft
, not simply an administrative function. You are intellectually curious, meticulous, resourceful, and comfortable digging into the details of a matter. You anticipate what attorneys will need, take pride in the quality of your work, and thrive in an environment where thoughtful, precise work is valued over volume.

Why Consider This Opportunity?
  • Work directly with experienced attorneys on sophisticated matters.
  • Substantive involvement throughout the litigation lifecycle.
  • Boutique environment with significant responsibility and visibility.
  • Collaborative team that values intelligence, initiative, and high-quality work.
  • Competitive compensation of $75,000–$95,000
    , depending on experience.

This is a full-time, in-office position in Miami, Florida.
