Our client, a growing manufacturing organization, is seeking a Junior Procurement Specialist to support purchasing and supply chain operations within a fast-paced production environment. The Junior Procurement Specialist will support the purchasing and supply chain department by managing purchase orders, coordinating suppliers, monitoring inventory levels, tracking deliveries, and helping ensure uninterrupted production operations. Key ResponsibilitiesPurchasing & Supplier Management
- Create and manage purchase orders for raw materials, packaging supplies, machine parts, and MRO items.
- Follow up with suppliers regarding pricing, lead times, and deliveries.
- Compare supplier quotations and help identify cost‑saving opportunities.
- Assist with vendor qualification and supplier performance tracking.
- Track resin pricing trends and supply market conditions.
- Monitor inventory levels and assist in preventing shortages or overstock situations.
- Coordinate incoming shipments with warehouse and logistics teams.
- Support production and maintenance teams with urgent purchasing needs.
- Maintain accurate purchasing records and ERP system data.
- Assist management with procurement reports and inventory analysis.
- Ensure all purchasing activities comply with company policies and procedures.
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, Logistics, or related field.
- 1–3 years of purchasing, inventory, logistics, or manufacturing experience.
- Experience in plastic manufacturing, HDPE/PET packaging, resin purchasing, inventory control, freight coordination, warehouse operations, or production scheduling.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and ERP systems.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- Strong attention to detail and problem‑solving mindset.
- Ability to work in a fast‑paced manufacturing environment.
- Self‑motivated with willingness to learn and grow.
- Bilingual English/Spanish, preferred.
