Miami Jewish Health is one of the largest providers of healthcare and living options for aging adults in the Southeast. We operate Florida PACE (Program of All-Inclusive Care for the Elderly) Centers, the largest PACE program in Florida, which serves as a health plan, healthcare provider, and social center designed for older adults with complex medical needs. We have four adult day health centers that serve participants in Miami‑Dade and Broward counties.

Driver

Provides off‑campus transportation for residents, tenants, and clients of MJH. Transports clients from the community to MJHS satellite facilities, doctors, and clinics.

• Transports persons to and from MJH and other locations
• Assists passengers on and off the van in a safe and courteous manner; handles medical equipment and other emergencies that may arise
• Maintains vehicles in standard working condition and clean; reports any maintenance needs immediately
• Maintains necessary documentation such as passenger logs
• Reports accidents and/or incidents immediately, per established department protocol
• Performs courier and banking functions as needed
• Follows all department safety policies and procedures at all times
• Participates as a member of the Multidisciplinary Team and attends department meetings and in‑services as necessary

• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred

• Two years’ experience driving passenger bus or larger, with wheelchair accessibility preferred
• One‑year experience carrying elderly and/or disabled passengers

• Current Florida Commercial Driver’s License Class A, B, or C with passenger endorsement preferred
• CPR and First Aid Certification preferred

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Knowledge of Dade County streets
• Ability to deal with physically and emotionally frail, elderly and/or disabled persons
• Ability to get in and out of the buses constantly to assist passengers
• Must attend and pass safety driving program annually, and maintain good driving record
• Operates equipment to assist disabled persons
