Team OverviewA&M’s Private Equity Performance Improvement Services (PEPI) practice serves middle‑market and large‑cap private equity firms. The PEPI Supply Chain group focuses on strategic sourcing, procurement, logistics, demand & supply planning, and related areas.
How You Will ContributeIn this role you will lead and deliver project work streams, working closely with private equity teams to design and implement creative business solutions.
Key Responsibilities- Gain a comprehensive understanding of a client’s procurement organization and strategic sourcing capabilities
- Assist in developing and implementing sourcing strategies aligned with growth and financial goals, integrating forecasting, demand/supply planning, inventory management, and distribution & logistics
- Lead supplier identification, approval, contract and pricing negotiations, and vendor relations
- Develop implementation plans to drive procurement and sourcing initiatives
- Conduct analysis as required by the scope of projects
- Strong written, oral, and analytical skills
- Strong Excel and PowerPoint skills
- Structured project management (time, team, and work‑stream management)
- Initiative, drive, and critical thinking
- Ability to deliver time‑pressure projects on schedule and to quality standards
- Flexible and creative thinking
- Client relationship building and excellent presentation skills
- 4–7+ years of consulting or industry experience
- Prior advisory experience at a top‑tier strategy firm or Big‑4 consultancy (required)
- Preference for roles within sourcing and procurement functions
- Industry experience in direct and/or indirect categories
- MBA preferred
- Experience managing direct and/or indirect categories
- Track record of leading sustainable, high‑impact strategic sourcing initiatives
- Design of end‑to‑end procurement strategies
- Excellent fact‑gathering and analytical skills, including business process mapping and quantitative analysis
- Flexibility to travel up to 80%
The salary range is $100,000–$170,000 annually, commensurate with experience, education, and geography. A discretionary bonus program is offered. Full‑time employees are eligible for A&M’s healthcare plans, flexible spending accounts, life, AD&D, disability coverage, and a 401(k) plan with discretionary employer contributions. Paid time off includes vacation, personal days, 72 hours of sick time (prorated for part‑time), ten federal holidays, one floating holiday, and parental leave.
