ROLE

SUMMARY:

Pura Vida Miami is a multi-location restaurant and café brand built on fresh, quality food served rating across Florida, California, New York, DMV and beyond, our restaurants demand a supply chain that works. No shortcuts. No disruptions. You'll lead the supply chain function at a critical moment of growth. The systems you build will determine how fast we can expand without sacrificing what made us work in the first place.

You’ll own the strategy that keeps 50+ locations fed, the vendor relationships that guarantee quality, and the infrastructure that supports new openings. This role sits at the center of operations, culinary innovation, and financial performance. You’ll work directly with our leadership team to shape how food moves from supplier to kitchen to guest, making strategic decisions on sourcing, distribution, and cost management that ripple across the entire business.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Enterprise Supply Chain Strategy & Planning: Develop and execute a multi-year supply chain strategy aligned with regional expansion goals. Define sourcing priorities, distribution network architecture, and capacity planning to support current and future location growth without operational compromise.
  • Supplier Partnerships & Negotiations: Build and maintain strategic relationships with broadline distributors, specialty suppliers, and direct producers. Lead contract negotiations, manage pricing discussions, and establish service level agreements that guarantee consistent quality, reliability, and cost competitiveness across all categories (proteins, produce, specialty items, beverages, packaging).
  • Procurement & Category Strategy: Oversee sourcing decisions across key food and non-food categories. Develop category strategies that balance quality standards with cost efficiency. Monitor commodity markets, anticipate price volatility, and build resilience into the sourcing base to protect margins and supply continuity.
  • Distribution Network Optimization: Design and manage logistics networks (broadline, specialty, and direct delivery) to serve existing locations and support new openings. Optimize freight costs, warehouse operations, and inventory levels. Ensure on‑time, in‑full (OTIF) delivery performance across all markets.
  • New Location Launch Support: Lead supply chain readiness for new cafe openings. Coordinate with Development and Operations to establish local vendor relationships, confirm delivery routes, and execute flawless first‑shipment logistics. Ensure zero disruption to kitchen operations from day one.
  • Cost of Goods & Financial Management: Own supply chain P&L impact, including COGS optimization, distribution expense management, and waste reduction. Track KPIs such as COGS %, inventory turns, and supplier performance.
  • Forecasting and Demand Planning: Work with Finance on forecasting, scenario planning, and margin improvement initiatives. Build demand forecasts that drive procurement timing, inventory targets, and supplier capacity planning across all locations, ensuring alignment between growth projections and supply chain readiness. Evaluate supply chain opportunities and constraints in new markets to inform expansion strategy and timeline.
  • Food Safety, Quality & Compliance: Partner with FSQA to maintain rigorous standards across the entire supplier network. Ensure adherence to food safety regulations, traceability protocols, and quality specifications. Lead response to supply disruptions, quality issues, or recalls with clear communication and rapid action.
  • Menu Innovation & Product Launches: Collaborate with Culinary and R&D to commercialize new menu items efficiently and cost‑effectively. Manage sourcing timelines, supplier capacity, and pricing for limited‑time offerings and permanent menu changes. Ensure launch readiness across all locations.
