Inside Sales Supervisor
Sparks Group has partnered with a Global Aviation organization with over 30 years providing comprehensive aircraft inventory support for airlines, MROs, OEMs, and distributors. They provide a global reach serving customers' parts and inventory needs across 140+ countries. They are seeking an Inside Sales Supervisor with 3 years of previous inside sales experience and 2 years of leading a team.
ResponsibilitiesProvides leadership and guidance to the Inside Sales Team in support of Director of Sales. Ensures Inside Sales Team follows policies and procedures. Act as a resource for questions and as an escalation point for more complex issues. Facilitate training on system and program changes. Establish, develop and maintain business relationships with current customers and prospective customers in the assigned territory/market segment to generate new business for the organization's products/services.
You will multitask calls, emails and data entry, providing product, price and availability information to customers as requested. Review quote activity and initiate follow ups. Participate in process improvement activities. Achieve individual sales targets.
Bachelor's or associate's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, Transportation, Business Administration, or a related field preferred; equivalent relevant experience will be considered. Minimum 4-6 years of progressive experience in transportation, freight forwarding, international logistics, shipping operations, or supply chain, with demonstrated ownership beyond basic shipment coordination. Experience managing domestic and international parcel, air freight, ground, courier, and time-critical shipments from booking through final delivery.
Demonstrated experience negotiating freight rates or commercial terms and managing carrier, freight-forwarder, courier, or customs-broker relationships. Experience building or improving transportation processes, routing guides, vendor scorecards, KPIs, SOPs, or cost-control programs strongly preferred. Working knowledge of import/export documentation, customs-clearance processes, Incoterms, and international shipping requirements. Strong Microsoft Excel skills; experience with ERP systems, TMS platforms, carrier portals, BI/reporting tools, or transportation automation preferred.
Experience in aviation, aerospace, MRO, aircraft-parts distribution, or another high-value, time-critical technical distribution environment preferred. Knowledge of ATA Spec 300 packaging requirements preferred;
Hazmat/ IATA Dangerous Goods training or certification is a plus
