North Miami, FL | Onsite | $90,000-$110,000 annually Our client is seeking an experienced Ocean Freight Manager to lead ocean freight operations supporting perishable, temperature-controlled, and time-sensitive cargo. The position combines operational leadership with business-development responsibility and requires someone who understands the demands of international ocean freight, including refrigerated cargo, cold-chain requirements, carrier coordination, documentation, customs processes, and shipment execution around vessel schedules.

Commercial cruise-industry experience is an important component of the position. Candidates should bring a proven background within cruise logistics, marine supply chain, marine procurement, or a closely related environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and support the ocean freight team while maintaining strong service and operating standards.
  • Oversee the planning, booking, monitoring, and delivery of ocean freight shipments.
  • Support refrigerated and temperature-sensitive cargo movements while maintaining cold-chain requirements.
  • Coordinate with carriers and maritime partners around time-sensitive vessel schedules.
  • Maintain compliance with international shipping procedures, documentation, customs processes, and carrier requirements.
  • Support customer and carrier relationships, negotiations, and business-development activity.
  • Monitor shipment and operational performance and help address service issues as they arise.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
  • 5-7 years of freight forwarding or international logistics experience.
  • Meaningful experience within commercial cruise logistics, marine procurement, cruise supply chain, or a closely related environment.
  • Demonstrated experience with ocean freight, reefer containers, and perishable or temperature-controlled cargo.
  • Proven logistics or operations leadership experience in a high-pressure environment.
  • Strong relationships and experience working across the maritime sector.
  • Working knowledge of international shipping documentation and customs processes.
  • Strong organizational, communication, negotiation, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Professional proficiency in English;
    Spanish is considered a strong advantage.
