Role Overview

Black Sheep Coffee is seeking an experienced and commercially minded Supply Chain Manager to lead the development and day-to-day management of our supply chain across the United States.

Based in Miami and reporting directly to the Managing Director, USA, the role will take ownership of supplier sourcing and performance, commercial negotiations, demand planning, inventory, distribution, product availability, Cost of Goods Sold and supply chain compliance across both corporate and franchise operations.

The Supply Chain Manager will work closely with the Head of Category & Product and the wider UK-based Supply Chain and NPD teams. This will ensure the US benefits from established ways of working, global product development and relevant learning from the UK and GCC, while building a supply chain that reflects the specific needs of the US market.

The role will work particularly closely with the International Supply Chain Coordinator to ensure products sourced from, developed in or shipped through the UK are delivered seamlessly into the US.

Working with the Managing Director and the wider US team, the Supply Chain Manager will also identify local market opportunities and lead the sourcing, costing and supply chain development required for US-specific products and menu proposals. Category & Product will retain overall governance of product strategy, development standards and final product approval.

This is a hands-on role requiring clear ownership, strong commercial judgement and the ability to build a reliable, scalable and cost-effective supply chain for a growing multi-site business.

Key Responsibilities US Supply Chain Strategy
  • Develop and deliver a US supply chain strategy aligned with the Managing Director’s growth plan and the wider international supply chain direction.
  • Build the supplier, distribution and inventory infrastructure required to support existing stores, new openings and future franchise growth.
  • Work collaboratively with the Head of Category & Product to apply established standards and best-in-class ways of working within the US.
  • Identify material risks, capacity constraints and commercial opportunities early, presenting clear recommendations to the Managing Director and Chief Operating Officer.
  • Maintain practical contingency plans for critical products, suppliers and distribution routes.
Supplier and Commercial Management
  • Lead the sourcing, onboarding and ongoing management of US suppliers, distributors, warehouses and logistics partners.
  • Negotiate pricing, service levels, payment terms and commercial protections while maintaining product quality and brand standards.
  • Run structured tenders and supplier reviews to ensure the right balance of quality, service, resilience and value.
  • Maintain accurate supplier contracts, product specifications, pricing records and service-level agreements.
  • Hold suppliers accountable for performance, resolving service, quality and commercial issues promptly and sustainably.
  • Identify global purchasing leverage, shared suppliers and cross-market sourcing opportunities with the UK Supply Chain team.
Demand Planning, Inventory and Distribution
  • Own demand and supply planning across food, beverage ingredients, packaging, retail products and agreed operational consumables.
  • Produce accurate forecasts for business-as-usual trading, seasonal peaks, promotions, product launches and new store openings.
  • Maintain appropriate stockholding and safety-stock levels, balancing availability with working capital, shelf life and obsolescence risk.
