Responsibilities:

• Lead and mentor a team of 6 professionals (Portfolio Managers and Underwriters), ensuring strong credit quality and portfolio performance.
• Oversee underwriting and portfolio management for middle market / C&I transactions.
• Partner with Relationship Managers to support new business opportunities and renewals.
• Review and approve credit analyses, financial models, and risk ratings.
• Manage portfolio risk through proactive monitoring, client meetings, and early identification of potential issues.
• Contribute to process improvement initiatives and best practices for credit management.

Experience requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or related fieldwith 7+ years of experience in C&I underwriting and portfolio management.
• Prior leadership or team management experience strongly preferred.
• In-depth knowledge of financial statement analysis, credit risk assessment, and loan structuring.
• Strong communication and leadership skills, with the ability to develop and motivate team members.
• Credit trained is a plus.
