Regional Building Manager

Overview

Success Academy is expanding rapidly in New York and Florida. We are seeking a Regional Building Manager – Florida Sites to join the Renovations & Facilities team. This role is responsible for the operational and environmental health, safety, and functionality of a five-site school portfolio across the Miami-Dade area. The Regional Building Manager ensures that every campus is clean, safe, and instruction-ready in alignment with SA design guidelines so that scholars and educators can thrive.

This position serves as the strategic on-the-ground leader bridging the Florida campuses and the New York Network Office. The successful candidate will navigate the complexities of shared school environments and multi-site management and may travel to New York to support alignment and professional development.

• Conduct rigorous walkthroughs across the five-site Florida portfolio to ensure every square foot meets standards for cleanliness, safety, and aesthetic excellence.
• Manage the full lifecycle of preventative and reactive maintenance for the regional footprint, acting as the guardian of physical integrity to minimize instructional time lost due to facility issues.
• Serve as the on-site interface between district partners and the Network Office, navigating local requirements to uphold institutional standards.
• Direct and audit third-party service providers (custodial, HVAC, security), enforcing SLAs and identifying scalable efficiencies in service delivery.
• Oversee site-level infrastructure projects, including renovations, furniture deployments, and seasonal updates, ensuring a smooth transition from construction to occupancy during school launches.

• 3–5+ years of experience in property or facilities management within high-volume, institutional, or urban school environments, with a track record of managing multi-site portfolios.
• Strong organizational and systems thinking skills, with a focus on evaluating facility workflows and identifying scalable operational solutions.
• Exceptional communication and diplomacy skills, with the ability to partner with technical repair crews and high-level stakeholders to resolve issues constructively.
• Deep knowledge of Florida building, fire, and health codes, with experience navigating state educational facility requirements and safety compliance.
• Vendor and contract management experience with a proactive, accountable approach to performance and cost-effectiveness.
• Proficiency in project coordination, supporting capital improvements and equipment installations in active school settings.
• Self-motivated with ownership of the physical plant, addressing risks and improving campus readiness.
• Bachelor’s degree preferred; equivalent professional experience in large-scale facility management accepted.
