Operations Manager, Program / Project Manager
RL Enterprise Recruiting & Staffing is hiring for our client, a single-family home manufacturer specializing in steel-framed, factory-built residential structures. This is a unique opportunity to lead a manufacturing operation at the intersection of American-made steel and innovative modular construction technology.
POSITION SUMMARYThe General Manager will provide strategic and operational leadership production facility, overseeing all aspects of manufacturing operations, team management, quality control, and customer delivery. This role will manage a team of 4-5 employees and serve as the key driver of operational excellence during a critical growth phase.
Reporting directly to executive leadership, the General Manager will be responsible for transforming production capabilities, implementing best practices, and scaling operations to meet increasing market demand for hurricane-resistant, code-compliant modular housing.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities- Strategic Leadership
:
Direct all day-to-day manufacturing operations at the Miami production facility - Team Management
:
Lead the facility, fostering a culture of safety, high performance, professional growth, quality and continuous improvement. - Operational Oversight
:
Develop and implement production schedules to meet customer delivery commitments. Optimize workflow, resource allocation, and facility utilization to maximize efficiency. - Process Improvement
:
Drive continuous improvement initiatives to reduce waste, and improve quality. - Financial Management
:
Manage production budgets and control operational costs. Monitor material inventory levels and coordinate with supply chain. Track key performance metrics including production volume, cycle time, and cost per unit. Identify cost-saving opportunities without compromising quality or safety. - Risk Management
:
Identify potential operational risks and implement appropriate mitigation strategies to protect company assets and ensure business continuity. - Stakeholder Relations
:
Maintain strong relationships with all internal and external stakeholders to ensure cohesive business operations. - Safety Management
:
Ensure compliance with health and safety standards, creating a safe work environment for all associates. - Managing External Relationships
:
Oversee and enhance relationships with commercial partners, equipment manufacturers, etc. - Other Job-Related Duties and Special Projects according to the needs of the organization.
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Operations Management, or a related field.
- A minimum of 7 years of experience in operations management, including at least 5 years in a senior management role.
- Proven track record in strategic planning, team leadership, and financial management.
- Experience with in a steel manufacturing, distribution, or building related environment.
- Technologically savvy with experience in MS Office products and Windows-based computer applications.

- Excellent leadership and interpersonal communication abilities.
- Proficiency in using ERP systems and other relevant operational software.
- Capability to manage multiple priorities and work under pressure.
- P&L knowledge or BvA (budget vs. actual) experience.
- A Master’s degree in Business Administration or related field.
- Professional certifications such as PMP or Six Sigma.
- Advanced skills in data analysis and performance metrics.
