Responsibilities- Serve as the site's safety champion and lead the Global WHS Program implementation.
- Conduct comprehensive risk assessments, analyze safety data, and implement practical solutions that protect associates while supporting productivity.
- Build relationships and influence positive change to shape a strong safety culture.
- Lead safety compliance efforts, conduct site audits, and analyze incident trends to target improvements.
- Manage the first aid program and emergency response capabilities to ensure immediate care.
- Transform safety data into actionable insights and engage associates in the safety mission.
- Travel 50-70% of the time and work various shifts.
- Safety Leadership & Innovation – Transform safety culture through leadership and innovative solutions, drive continuous improvement and set new benchmarks.
- Leverage technology and data analytics to drive preventive safety measures that protect associates while enhancing operational excellence.
- Develop leadership plans, communicate expectations, and drive initiatives to create a safe work environment.
- Measure performance against WHS policies, analyze metrics, and conduct site audits to address non‑compliance.
- Build partnerships with Operations leadership to integrate safety into every aspect of the business.
- Use data analysis and risk insights to influence positive change and strategic decision‑making.
- Serve as a trusted advisor balancing safety excellence with operational demands.
- Oversee recordkeeping, workplace organization, and WHS training programs.
- Lift up to 49 pounds and frequently push, pull, squat, bend, and reach.
- Stand/walk for up to 12 hours during shifts.
- Work in an environment where noise levels vary and temperatures are subject to change (including outside loading departments).
- Continuously climb and descend stairs (if applicable).
- Maintain effective care delivery in emergencies and support emergency response at the site.
- Bachelor’s degree or 2+ years of Amazon (blue badge/FTE) experience.
- 3+ years of increasing responsibilities in WHS and/or environmental programs in manufacturing, production, or service operations.
- 3+ years of increasing responsibilities in people and performance management, or 2+ years of Amazon Safety (blue badge/FTE) experience.
- Distribution Center or manufacturing safety experience with a mix of exempt and non‑exempt employees at a site of at least 250 people.
- Master’s degree preferred.
- Experience in a fast‑paced, changing/growing organization.
- Certified Safety Professional preferred.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including comfort collaborating with site leaders.
- Ability to develop and implement department goals and strategies.
- Strong analytical skills with demonstrated problem‑solving ability.
- Ability to adapt well to fast‑paced environments with changing circumstances, direction, and strategy.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and the use of pivot tables and the development of charts and graphics.
- Ability to manage multiple sites/remotely.
The base salary range for this position is 70,100. USD annually, with location ranges listed below. The Amazon package includes sign‑on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs), and final compensation will be determined based on experience, qualifications, and location.

- USA, FL, Tampa – 70,100. USD annually
