The Director Supply Chain Site Leader is responsible for the execution of supply chain within the MRO facility, supporting the procurement and repair of engine parts for the maintenance of CFM
56-5B/7B engines and modules. This leader will work with the Global Supply Chain team to ensure the min/max requirements for the set are met, oversee the procurement (direct and indirect materials), ensure supply reliability, compliance with Company policies, and operational efficiency. The Director will also act as the Supply Chain leader for the site, being the senior focal supporting the operational success of the site adapting to the rapid growth and meeting the evolving needs of the company.
Reporting to the SVP of Supply Chain and the General Manager, the candidate will have the following responsibilities (but not limited to):
- Ensure min/max compliance for the site to maintain engine builds and support the improvement of their Inventory Management Center to ensure accuracy of the min/max requirements
- Manage an onsite team of buyers for indirect and direct purchasing, ensuring compliance the Company’s purchasing policies and requirements
- Partner with the warehouse team to ensure timely receiving/shipping of parts to support operational efficiency
- Maintain procurement workflows that are scalable, data-driven automated (through their Inventory Management Center), and audit/compliance ready
- Oversee site sourcing and procurement activities for indirect service providers, and indirect spend (capital equipment, facility and operational requirements) within Company’s purchasing policies and requirements
- Collaborate with key stakeholders such as Engineering, Quality, Operations, Asset Management and Finance to align procurement decisions with business requirements, cost targets, and profitability goals
- Ensure adherence to corporate, ethical, and environmental procurement standards
- Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, Business Administration, or relevant related field required
- 8-10+ years of progressive leadership experience in procurement and supply chain management within the aviation and/or similar aerospace maintenance, repair and overhaul
- Strategic thinker with hands-on operational experience ready to be the face to the internal Operations customers (MRE Operations, Piece Part Repair, Facility & Tooling Leaders)
- Excellent leadership, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills
- Proven ability to achieve results in a fast-paced environment with fluctuating priorities and deadlines
- Leveraging your strong communication and influencing skills
- Demonstrated ability to lead a team of supply chain professionals
- Knowledge of Engine Maintenance, Vendor Management and CFM
56 products a strong advantage - Ability to travel up to 25% of the time (domestic and international)
