Your Role
As a Gensler Project Manager, you will leverage your attention to detail and interpersonal skills to deliver exceptional client projects on time and within budget. You will grow your project management experience while working on trend‑setting projects across practice areas, focusing on core and shell architecture projects and building client relationships to drive business opportunities.
What You Will Do- Manage project teams, clients, and consultants for multiple projects simultaneously
- Manage all phases, including project set‑up, programming, design, and construction administration
- Establish and maintain productive client relationships
- Engage directly with clients and stakeholders to assure approvals
- Manage project scheduling, staffing/productivity, budgets, and project set‑up with clients, sub‑contractors, vendors, and consultants
- Track the financial performance of projects
- Prepare project proposals, negotiate fees and contracts, and coordinate the bidding process
- Ensure projects conform to contract requirements
- Create and communicate clear and attainable project objectives and requirements
- Support firm-wide sustainability and resilience goals, guiding clients and teams toward multi‑benefit sustainable and resilient design solutions
- Mentor the next generation of leadership by inspiring, empowering, and leading by example
- Advance an integrated design culture within the studio, including mentoring, resources, discourse, initiatives, and recruiting of team members
- 10+ years’ experience as a Project Manager within a commercial architecture and design firm managing large‑scale projects
- Experience leading base building and interior architecture projects of various scales for hotels, multi‑family residential, office buildings, and mixed‑use spaces
- Mentoring and collaborating with Interior Designers and Architects
- Strong leadership, organization, communication, and interpersonal management skills
- Ability to develop collaborative relationships across the firm, with clients, and with key constituents
- Commitment to a collaborative design process and experience negotiating project scope and fees
- Knowledge of local building codes and standards
- Professional degree (Master or Bachelor) in Architecture from an accredited program
- Licensed / Registered Architect; LEED accreditation preferred
- Proven experience mentoring and coaching junior team members
- Proven experience building trust with clients and developing client relationships
