Project Manager provides operational and program management for the Collaborative for Community Advancement and Resilience (CCAR). The role supports the execution of CARR strategic and 2-year operational roadmap ensuring implementation of a global research, policy, and engagement agenda across countries and stakeholders. This role is responsible for translating the strategy into coordinate actions overseeing program delivery and multi-country partnerships; delivers academic and public-facing events;

and ensures strong organizational management, compliance, and reporting.
** CORE JOB FUNCTIONS
*** Defines the scope of projects in conjunction with leadership.
* Discusses the objectives and measures upon which the project will be evaluated at its completion.
* Determines the resources required to complete each project.
* Establishes and documents comprehensive project plans and timelines, which identify and sequences the activities needed to successfully complete projects.
* Reviews project schedules with leadership and other staff that will be affected by the project activities.
* Monitors the progress of the projects and makes adjustments to ensure successful completion.
* Consults with the appropriate leadership on the selection of staff to assist with projects.
* Assigns project task to the identified project team for handling.
* Ensures all project personnel receive orientation that is appropriate to the project.
* Manages project staff according to the established policies and practices of the organization.
* Reviews the quality of work completed with the project team on a regular basis to ensure that work produced meets project standards.
* Documents all project-related activities and ensures project files are maintained and secured accordingly.
* Creates a communication schedule to update stakeholders, including appropriate staff in the organization on the progress of projects.
* Prepares presentations and presents status reports for leadership
* Establishes and continuously assesses the effectiveness of the internal controls within the unit and compliance with University policies and procedures. Ensures employees are trained on controls within the function and on University policy and procedures.
* Provide capacity-building support to grantees, research teams, and consortium partners to strengthen gender equity programming, research methodologies, monitoring and evaluation practices, and institutional effectiveness. Facilitate learning exchanges and develop resource materials to support partner growth.
** Department Specific Job Functions
*** Execute CCAR strategic and operational roadmap across priority countries by develop detailed workplans, timelines and milestone tracking systems. Coordinate research implementation and community-based initiatives in selected countries.
* Oversee the design and rollout of a digital knowledge-sharing and gender equity research hub. Coordinate with University technical teams to operationalize data models and tracking systems.
* Support multi-sector Advisory Board operations including meetings planning and follow-ups.
* Prepare background materials and synthesize inputs.
* Conduct and synthesize landscape reviews to identify gaps in gender and social equity research, policy, and programming.
* Contribute substantively to research design discussions, literature reviews, development of research questions, and identification of appropriate analytical frameworks grounded in gender and social equity scholarship.
* Coordinate planning and logistical arrangements for domestic and international research activities and fieldwork, including partner engagement, scheduling, compliance documentation (e.g., IRB processes where applicable), and data management planning.
* Lead coordination among national and international partners, faculty, research staff, and students to ensure effective implementation of research and engagement activities. Facilitate regular project meetings, track deliverables, and support collaborative problem-solving.
* Monitor project progress against defined goals and milestones. Support data collection, basic data analysis, and synthesis of findings to assess program impact and inform continuous improvement. Contribute to internal learning processes and dissemination of best practices.
