Director of Global Response – Medtronic Global Security

Borough:
The role is onsite at a Medtronic site in the contiguous United States. Locations include:

Travel:
Up to 20% per year.

Bachelor’s degree, or an advanced degree, and a minimum of 10+ years of experience in program management, operations, or workplace services within a large‑scale corporate environment, with 7+ years of managerial experience.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the global response function, ensuring it remains the most responsive part of Medtronic’s operations.
  • Build a world‑leading response program that protects the safety and security of people and assets worldwide, regardless of location or time of day.
  • Define response operating procedures to ensure consistent, global incident resolution (“One Best Way”).
  • Establish escalation thresholds for incidents that may evolve into crises, ensuring rapid and effective global action.
  • Manage security vendors, develop service level agreements (SLAs), and hold partners accountable for performance.
Must Have:

Minimum Requirements
  • Demonstrated experience managing 24x7 incident response and executive‑level crisis response.
  • Proven track record of leading large‑scale organizational transformations.
  • Ability to influence and earn trust with a diverse set of stakeholders, including executive leadership.
  • Current and valid passport; ability to travel internationally up to 20%.
Nice to Have (Preferred Qualifications)
  • Exceptional analytical skills; experience with SQL, Power BI, or Tableau to drive data‑based decision making.
  • Strong bias for action and ability to navigate ambiguity in a fast‑paced environment.
  • Deep understanding of industry trends in security and facilities operations.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
