Location:

We are seeking an experienced Project / Construction Director to lead the end-to-end delivery of large-scale hyperscale and AI data center developments in Edgerton, Kansas City. As the single-point executive owner for project delivery, you will be accountable for the successful execution of projects from pre-construction through commissioning and handover. The role carries full responsibility for schedule, cost, quality, safety, commissioning readiness, stakeholder management, and client satisfaction.
Working across internal teams, EPC contractors, PMCs, consultants, and strategic partners, you will establish and drive governance, delivery standards, and execution strategies to ensure projects are delivered safely, on time, within budget, and aligned with business objectives.
- End-to-End Project Delivery
- Lead the full lifecycle delivery of hyperscale and AI data center projects.
- Own project performance across schedule, budget, quality, risk, and operational readiness.
- Ensure seamless transition from design and procurement through construction, commissioning, and handover.
- Governance & PMO Leadership
- Implement and enforce project governance frameworks, reporting standards, and delivery processes.
- Ensure compliance with corporate policies, project controls, and stage-gate requirements.
- Provide executive-level reporting and performance updates to senior leadership.
- Engineering, Procurement & Construction Integration
- Coordinate engineering, procurement, construction, commissioning, and operational stakeholders.
- Drive collaboration between internal and external teams to optimise project outcomes.
- Resolve technical, commercial, and execution challenges throughout the project lifecycle.
- Contractor & Partner Management
- Lead the performance management of EPC contractors, consultants, PMCs, and key suppliers.
- Establish clear accountability measures, KPIs, and contractual obligations.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, authorities, utilities, and project partners.
- Commercial, Risk & Financial Control
- Manage project budgets, forecasts, cash flow, and change control processes.
- Identify, assess, and mitigate project risks to protect delivery commitments.
- Drive commercial performance and ensure effective contract administration.
- HSE, Quality & Commissioning Oversight
- Champion a culture of safety excellence across all project activities.
- Ensure compliance with all HSE, quality, regulatory, and client requirements.
- Oversee commissioning strategies and readiness activities to achieve successful project handover.
- Leadership & Team Development
- Lead and develop multidisciplinary project teams across construction, engineering, and project controls.
- Foster a high-performance culture focused on accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
- Mentor future leaders and support organisational capability growth.
- Proven experience leading large-scale hyperscale, cloud, mission-critical, or data center construction projects.
- Strong track record delivering projects exceeding $500M in value.
- Extensive experience managing EPC contractors, consultants, and complex stakeholder environments.
- Deep understanding of project controls, commercial management, risk management, and commissioning processes.
- Exceptional leadership, communication, and executive stakeholder management skills.
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related discipline (Master's degree preferred).
