The Branch Manager will oversee the operations and performance of the branch, managing staff, ensuring efficient logistics operations, maintaining customer satisfaction, and achieving financial targets.
Essential Duties And Responsibilities- Works with existing sales team to execute sales strategy, building and maintaining a book of business and providing executive coaching and support to team as needed.
- Maximizes profitability through strong, decisive and entrepreneurial leadership while maintaining Hellmann's high standards of quality and customer service.
- Fosters strong relationships with customers and vendors to strengthen Hellmann’s position in the marketplace.
- Operates station with utmost integrity with full support of Hellmann’s Global DNA.
- Continually strives for additional value creation and efficiencies for customers, including improvement of existing KPIs.
- Drives continuous improvement efforts to improve customer experience and operational efficiencies.
- Adapts to and manages change to minimize adverse impact on the station or customers.
- Promotes global teamwork by working closely with global partners to identify and close business opportunities and strengthen Hellmann’s brand worldwide.
- Analyzes and interprets financial statements (e.g., P&L, Cash Flows) to maximize profits through sound business practices.
- Ensures adherence to global and local policies and procedures, including Model Branch Processes and regulatory compliance.
- Takes ownership for the full P&L and performance of the branch, taking action needed to meet budgeted guidelines and defined KPIs.
- Addresses systemic issues with network performance, customer profitability, and process deviation to ensure quick and effective corrective actions.
- Proactively keeps management informed of major developments within the branch.
- Actively manages and drives financially-related activities such as Accounts Receivable, File Level Closing, profitability verification, and dispute resolution.
- Drives company behavior within the branch, building business cases based on facts and financial data.
- Collaborates with USA Product heads to facilitate product-related training and address client or routing issues to optimize product performance at the branch level.
- Accountable for achieving and following up on corrective action plans within the branch.
- Ensures team is fiscally accountable and drives the team to meet financial KPIs and budgets.
- Sets performance goals, measures performance, and provides regular informal and formal feedback to direct reports.
- Monitors and manages staffing levels and workload allocation across all sea product teams within the assigned territory, including talent acquisition, furloughing, re‑purposing, re‑shifting, demotion, promotion, and severance.
- Develops team members, responsible for succession planning at product manager, supervisor, desk agent, and other levels.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
This position supervises up to fifty (50) full‑time employees and may supervise temporary employees from time to time based on projects.

Education And/Or Experience- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Logistics and Supply Chain, Transportation, or a related field, or equivalent combination of education and work experience.
- 15–20 years of experience in freight forwarding, with some sales/account management experience preferred.
- 7–10 years of supervisory experience required.
- Completion of any industry‑related course is an asset.
- Influencer level of talent to elevate the Hellmann brand as employer and service provider.
