JOB SUMMARY:
Manages all activities related to the distribution center's warehousing operations, including but not limited to inventory management, receiving, picking, loading, and dispatching, while ensuring that QCD and GSF objectives for efficiency, economy, quality and productivity are met or exceeded.
LEADERSHIP/MANAGEMENT RESPONSIBILITY Supervises, through subordinate management, approximately 45-50 associates, including hourly staff. Manages projects with significant financial and strategic impact. May manage various external vendors. PERFORMANCE CATEGORIES Productivity/quality standards, cases per man hour, delivery reliability, budget, cost containment, teamwork within the department and across departments, project assignment standards, customer satisfaction, external relationships and compliance with regulatory agencies, employee development to meet GSF's projected near- and mid-term objectives, recruitment and retention of workforce to meet GSF's diversity objectives, safety of employees, safety of facility and warehouse equipment, teamwork within the department and across departments.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Education/Certification:
Bachelors' degree in business administration or related field from an accredited university or college or equivalent experience preferred.
Experience:
7 years of progressively responsible experience in warehousing operations involving multi-temperature environment with receiving, inventory control and shipping and 3 to 5 years of supervisory experience. Food service experience a plus. Knowledge,

Knowledge of (B/basic; J/journey; E/expert): storage and shipment of food or allied products. (E), computerized inventory control systems.
