The Director of Operations is a senior leadership role responsible for overseeing the daily operations of a rapidly growing, multi-office family law firm. This individual will develop and execute operational strategies that improve efficiency, enhance the client experience, increase profitability, and support continued growth across all locations. The ideal candidate is a proven operations executive with extensive law firm management experience who thrives in a fast-paced, results-driven environment and is passionate about building high-performing teams.
Responsibilities- Oversee the day-to-day operations of all firm locations.
- Lead, mentor, and develop Office Managers and administrative leadership teams.
- Establish and maintain operational policies, procedures, and best practices.
- Drive operational efficiency while maintaining exceptional client service standards.
- Monitor and improve key performance indicators (KPIs) across all departments.
- Collaborate with attorneys and executive leadership to achieve strategic business objectives.
- Manage staffing plans in partnership with Human Resources and Talent Acquisition.
- Ensure consistency in office operations, workflows, and client experience across all locations.
- Oversee facilities, office expansions, vendor relationships, and operational budgets.
- Analyze operational data and prepare executive-level reports and recommendations.
- Lead technology implementation and process improvement initiatives.
- Ensure compliance with firm policies, legal regulations, and operational standards.
- Manage cross-functional projects and support the firm's continued statewide growth.
- Minimum of 7 years of operations leadership experience within a law firm.
- Experience managing multiple office locations.
- Demonstrated success leading teams of 50+ employees.
- Strong knowledge of legal operations, law firm workflows, and client service standards.
- Experience developing and implementing operational processes and procedures.
- Strong financial and business acumen, including budgeting and performance management.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
- Proven ability to lead organizational growth and operational transformation.
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Management, or a related field.
- Family law experience.
- Experience managing statewide or regional law firm operations.
- MBA or advanced business degree.
- Experience with legal case management software such as Rocket Matter, Clio, MyCase, or similar platforms.
$150,000 – $180,000 per year
