Position SummaryThe Maintenance Supervisor is responsible for overseeing daily line maintenance activities, ensuring aircraft are maintained in a safe and airworthy condition, and supporting operational reliability. This position works closely with Maintenance Control, Quality Assurance, Flight Operations, and third-party maintenance providers to ensure all maintenance activities are completed in compliance with FAA regulations and company procedures.
The ideal candidate is a strong leader with excellent technical knowledge, sound judgment, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced airline environment.
Responsibilities- Supervise and direct daily line maintenance activities within the assigned region.
- Ensure compliance with FAA regulations, company policies, and maintenance procedures.
- Provide leadership, guidance, and oversight to aircraft maintenance technicians.
- Monitor staffing and work schedules to ensure adequate maintenance coverage.
- Review maintenance paperwork and records for accuracy and completeness.
- Coordinate maintenance activities with Maintenance Control, Flight Operations, and other departments.
- Assist with the recruitment, training, and development of maintenance personnel.
- Monitor vendor performance and coordinate support from contract maintenance providers.
- Ensure required tooling, equipment, and technical publications are available and maintained.
- Promote a strong safety culture and ensure all safety concerns are addressed promptly.
- Investigate operational delays and assist in implementing solutions to improve reliability and efficiency.
- Support aircraft return-to-service activities in accordance with company and regulatory requirements.
- Ability to read, write, and speak English fluently.
- Minimum 3 years of experience maintaining large transport-category aircraft in a Part 121 airline environment.
- Minimum 2 years of supervisory or lead technician experience.
- Experience performing and overseeing aircraft return-to-service activities.
- Working knowledge of FAA Regulations Parts 65, 91, and 121.
- Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced operational environment and make sound decisions under pressure.
- Boeing 767 maintenance experience.
- Wide-body aircraft experience.
- Previous airline supervisory experience.
