Position: Safety & Compliance Manager - Industrial / Transportation
Join a leading transportation and logistics organization supporting cargo operations throughout the United States and international markets. This position is responsible for leading safety programs, regulatory compliance, and risk management initiatives across multiple operational locations. The Safety Manager will oversee safety operations, lead safety personnel, ensure compliance with OSHA, DOT, hazardous materials regulations, and company policies, while partnering closely with operational leadership to promote a strong safety culture throughout the organization.

Responsibilities:
* Lead safety and regulatory compliance programs across multiple operational locations
* Manage and mentor Safety Specialists and Supervisors while promoting a strong safety culture
* Develop, implement, and improve safety policies, procedures, training programs, and compliance initiatives
* Conduct audits, inspections, incident investigations, and root cause analyses to identify and mitigate risk
* Analyze safety performance metrics and implement corrective and preventative actions
* Partner with operations leadership to ensure compliance with OSHA, DOT, hazmat, and company safety requirements Required

Skills & Experience:

* 6+ years of safety experience in transportation, industrial, manufacturing, terminal, yard, cargo, or similar operational environments
* 3+ years of leadership experience managing safety personnel or teams
* Knowledge of OSHA regulations and workplace safety compliance
* Experience developing and managing multi-site safety programs
* Bilingual in English and Spanish with strong written and verbal communication skills
* Microsoft Excel skills, including reporting, analysis, and presentation of data
* Valid driver's license Preferred

Skills & Experience:

* Bachelor's degree in Occupational Safety, Environmental Science, or a related field
* Certified Safety Professional (CSP) certification
* Experience with HAZMAT programs
* Experience in maritime, port, transportation, cargo, terminal, or logistics operations
