Assistant Program Director
Miami Youth Academy is a residential commitment program for at‑risk female youth in Miami, FL, focused on comprehensive care, treatment, supervision, and evidence‑based mental health services. The Assistant Program Director leads the day‑to‑day site operations, oversees quality delivery of clinical, educational, vocational, and student health services, and supports the Program Director in budget and staffing responsibilities.

Position Type: Full‑Time, On‑site
Salary: $60,000 USD per year
Responsibilities- Ensure quality delivery and oversight of treatment, educational, vocational, and student health services in accordance with ROP policies and applicable regulations.
- Lead day‑to‑day site operations and administrative oversight, assuming full responsibility in the absence of the Program Director.
- Develop, implement, manage, and modify the Rite of Passage program; chair site Management Meetings and oversee the daily program.
- Assist the Program Director with budget management, site expenditures, Position Control Roster, and reporting.
- Provide training and continuous development for the site management team; ensure compliance with pre‑service, on‑the‑job, and in‑service training requirements.
- Maintain proper staffing levels within established Position Control Roster standards, conduct employee evaluations, discipline, and corrective actions as needed.
- Promote the Mission and Values of ROP in all aspects under your organizational control.
- Bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice, Social Work, Psychology, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
- Minimum of four years of residential facility management experience.
- Experience working with the Department of Juvenile Justice in Florida.
- Strong interpersonal skills: empathy, patience, and respect for others.
- Ability to pass a criminal background check, drug screen, physical exam, and TB test.
