Regulatory Compliance Specialist
Retail Banking Sales & Service
Guide, direct and coach employees to deliver exceptional service and sales to BMO customers and prospects. Understand customer needs, advise on products, and make referrals to other business groups while ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and execute branch business plan to maximize growth, wallet share and customer retention.
- Lead sales and service activities: conduct sales calls, cold calls, community outreach, and maintain a referral network.
- Coach, develop and manage branch staff performance, including positive reinforcement and addressing poor performance.
- Resolve customer issues, escalations, and maintain confidentiality of customer and bank information.
- Monitor performance metrics against plans, identify gaps and implement action plans to close gaps.
- Ensure compliance with all applicable regulations, policies and procedures.
- Provide training and technical support to branch employees.
- Collaborate with business partners and manage interdependent systems and processes.
- Typically 4‑6 years of relevant experience and a post‑secondary degree (or equivalent combination).
- Preferred: previous supervisory or management experience.
- In‑depth knowledge of retail banking products, branch operations, technologies, and performance metrics.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Collaboration, teamwork, analytical, problem‑solving and influence skills.
- Data‑driven decision‑making.
- Awareness of applicable regulations, audit standards, and related policies.
- Salary range: $51,800.00 – $95,900.00 (salaried; commission structure may be applicable).
