Here’s where you come inWe are currently seeking a Market Leader—Optimize Ed/Optimize Med to join our team as a member of our growing Energy team in our Southeast region. This entrepreneurial leadership role combines people leadership, strategic planning, business development, technical services, and customer engagement. - Builds and owns market strategy for McKinstry’s Technical Services Integrated Solutions focusing on higher education and healthcare
- Responsible for the successful management of larger contracts for complex customers with an emphasis on optimizing and maintaining facility assets
- Capable of SWOT analysis, competitive analysis, as it relates to Technical Services Integrated Solutions strategies and market development
- Develop, motivate and inspire high performing sales teams
- Maintains sales forecast models
- Reports identified potential business risk elements and participates in mitigation efforts
- Creates and delivers processes, standards, and communication channels to increase efficiency
- Builds and maintains relationships with industry leaders, associations, and organizations in regional or vertical markets. Partner with clients to prioritize and solve problems while driving efficiencies.
- Guide clients through energy efficiency project financing and contracting processes
- Utilizes McKinstry’s tools and processes to support our customer relationship strategies
- Perform other duties as assigned
- 10‑15 years of Built Environment experience. Knowledge of building infrastructure systems, facility management, and critical facilities (Higher Education and/or Healthcare) is required.
- Financial/performance contracting experience including previous leadership, sales, and marketing with an energy services or related organization, with responsibilities for identifying leads, closing sales, and providing oversight to a project implementation team required.
- Demonstrated experience positioning a solution in the marketplace and building a team to execute strategy.
- Established relationships with industry leaders, associations, and organizations in regional or vertical markets that align with McKinstry business goals.
- Technical aptitude with delivery of programs but also possesses C‑suite seller DNA. Has “owned” their business segment and has an entrepreneurial spirit.
- Bachelor’s degree in business, engineering, construction management or equivalent business experience required. Energy/ESCO experience a plus.
