The PEPI team applies deep functional skills across strategy, interim management, merger integration & carve‑outs, IT, rapid results, supply chain, and CFO services.

Merger Integration & Carve‑Outs

This opportunity is for a Manager level role within A&M PEPI’s MI&C team, providing early client exposure and learning from top practitioners in the field. The team works across the full spectrum of the deal lifecycle—from pre‑deal operational and synergy reviews to 'Day 1' planning and post‑deal implementation. The role involves due diligence, Integration Management Office, synergy, TSA, integration planning, Day 1 readiness, and post‑close execution.

Manager

– Responsibilities
  • Provide service excellence by identifying key client business issues, determining client needs, and delivering recommendations within the overall engagement.
  • Depending on deal size, lead work streams or a focus area within the Integration Management Office (IMO) – e.g., Synergies, TSAs, Blueprinting, Day 1 Readiness, Executive Reporting, Integration Roadmap, Communications, and Organizational Design.
  • Lead and deliver large, complex client engagements that identify, design, and implement creative business and technology solutions for PE clients and their portfolio companies.
  • Plan, execute, and drive performance improvement for Day 1 and Day 100 objectives, including strategic planning, operational optimization, back‑office consolidation, supply chain, IT/reporting integration, and customer/channel management.
  • Actively drive performance improvement assessments across the enterprise and oversee implementation of recommendations.
  • Track progress against Day 1 and Day 100 objectives and adjust integration strategies or personnel as required.
Qualifications
  • 5–8+ years of professional consulting experience, specializing in merger integration, business transformation, and change management.
  • Experience in integration planning and divestitures is a plus, but not required.
  • Experience leading one or more work streams in business transformation.
  • Deep functional expertise in one or more of the following areas:
    • Finance & Accounting operations
    • HR / Organizational design
    • Role and Job Analysis
    • Leadership and Stakeholder Involvement
    • Communications planning and management
    • Supply Chain / Operations
    • Salesforce effectiveness
    • Marketing optimization
    • Pricing/Margin/Mix optimization
    • Knowledge Management and Transfer
    • Successful planning and execution of revenue growth and profitability initiatives.
    • Program management and leadership experience.
    • Designing and leading internal and external change/communications strategies.
    • MBA preferred.
    • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
    • Initiative and drive.
    • Critical thinking skills.
    • Flexibility to travel at least 75% of the time.
  • Experience in applying analytical frameworks and tools to client engagements.
Benefits Summary

Full‑time positions and part‑time positions of over 30 hours per week are eligible for Alvarez & Marsal Holdings’ fringe benefits, including healthcare plans, flexible spending and savings accounts, life, AD&D, and disability coverages, company‑matched 401(k) contributions, and discretionary 401(k) contributions. Employees receive paid time off (vacation, personal days, 72 hours of sick time pro‑rated for part‑time employees, ten federal holidays, one floating holiday, and parental leave).

The salary range is $125,000–$190,000 annually, dependent on education, experience, skills, and geography. A discretionary bonus program is also offered.
