Founding Engineer – Building Uber Water; Miami

We’re building an on‑demand water mobility platform in Miami, think Uber, but for boats.

This is not a freelance role. This is a founding‑level opportunity to architect and scale a real‑world mobility marketplace from day one.

• Early‑stage mobility startup
• Real‑time dispatch logic

• Focused on infrastructure + logistics, not rentals

We are not building a lifestyle app. We are building transportation infrastructure.

• Lead architecture of the Rider app (React Native)
• Build scalable dispatch & real‑time location logic
• Design clean, high‑end UX (Uber‑level polish)
• Collaborate directly with founder daily
• Make key technical decisions (stack, infra, scaling)
• Prepare product for rapid iteration & real‑world testing
• Help hire and structure future engineering team

• 5+ years software engineering
• Strong understanding of backend architecture (Node, Firebase, Supabase, etc.)
• Experience scaling apps beyond MVP
• Based in Miami (or relocating)
• Mobility / logistics experience
• Geolocation heavy apps
• Startup experience
• Worked at Uber, Lyft, Turo, Door Dash, etc.
