McKenzie Craft is a boutique fabrication studio specializing in custom millwork and metalwork for high‑end residential and commercial projects. From one‑of‑a‑kind cabinetry to large‑scale architectural elements, we blend hands‑on skill with innovation to bring complex designs to life.
We’re looking for a Shop Foreman to lead our production team. This role is perfect for a skilled professional who understands custom fabrication, can motivate a team, and keeps production running safely, smoothly, and on schedule.
What You’ll Do- Supervise the shop team, providing mentorship, direction, and training as needed
- Oversee day‑to‑day production to ensure projects stay on schedule and meet quality expectations
- Review shop drawings and make sure the team builds to spec
- Monitor shop safety and enforce all safety procedures and PPE requirements
- Work closely with engineering and project management teams to solve problems and coordinate schedules
- Maintain and inspect tools and equipment to avoid downtime or safety hazards
- Coordinate material needs with the procurement team to keep jobs moving
- Identify areas for improvement and help implement better workflows or processes
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds
- Must be able to stand for extended periods and perform physical tasks including bending, lifting, and reaching
- Ability to work in a noisy, fast‑paced shop environment
- Must wear steel‑toed boots and other required PPE (eye protection, hearing protection, hard hats when necessary)
- Adherence to McKenzie Craft safety guidelines at all times
- May be required to work outdoors in varying weather conditions
- Bilingual in English & Spanish (required)
- 5+ years of experience in millwork, carpentry, or related production leadership
- Deep knowledge of custom architectural millwork, tools, and shop operations
- Ability to read and interpret shop drawings and blueprints
- Comfortable leading teams, coordinating multiple priorities, and solving challenges under pressure
- Must have a valid driver’s license and pass a drug test.
